URL to Markdown Converter
Turn public web pages into clean Markdown with title, links, and heading sections. You pay only for pages that convert.
Get it on Apify, $0.002 per pageGive it a list of public web pages and get each one back as clean Markdown. Each result also carries the page title, meta description, language, final URL after redirects, and a word count.
Turn on "Extract main content" to keep only the article body, the way a browser's reader mode does. Turn on "Strip navigation and page chrome" to drop menus, footers, sidebars, and cookie banners. Optional extras: a list of every link on the page, and the page split into sections by heading, which is handy for chunking text before it goes into an LLM or a search index.
It checks robots.txt first and skips disallowed pages. Failed and skipped pages are never added to your results, so you are not charged for them. They are listed with a reason in the FAILED_URLS record.
Limits: public pages only, no login. It does not run JavaScript, so pages that build their content in the browser can come back mostly empty. HTML and plain text only (no PDFs). It does not crawl; you list the URLs. About one page per second on a single site.
